Field Journal Exercise for Observing Sustainability Engineering

Description: _x000D_ This module represents an exercise in an upper level undergraduate sustainability engineering course. The exercise requires the students to maintain an observational field journal. It is currently being used in a series of sustainability engineering classes, but specifically in this instance is part of a course (Sust. Engr. I) focusing on low impact development (LID), sustainable site issues and water efficiency. The overall course objectives, assessment methods, references and tentative topic schedule for the entire course is attached. Also included in the module are a paired set of surveys being used to collect information on the efficacy of this field journal technique and the specific instructions for the journal entries. Previous use of this technique has proven effective in a course on land development._x000D_
